Super Simple Weather is designed to do one thing: show you the weather. We do not run any servers, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect analytics. We never see, store, or sell your location or any other personal data.
This page explains, in plain English, exactly what the app does with your information.
When you type in the search box to add a new city, the text you type is sent to Mapbox's Geocoding API (mapbox.com) to find matching places. Mapbox returns a list of suggestions; no part of your device location is sent with the search request. Mapbox's privacy policy applies to their receipt of search queries: mapbox.com/legal/privacy.
When you open the radar screen, the app loads map tiles from two public services:
Neither service receives your account identity or device ID — only the standard information (IP address, user agent, tile coordinates) that any web request carries. The radar screen is only loaded when you open it.
The app saves the following using your phone's local storage (Preferences on MAUI / Android SharedPreferences):
This data never leaves your phone. Uninstalling the app removes it.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone — children or otherwise.
If we ever change this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will replace this page. If a future update of the app adds features that collect or share data (for example, a subscription feature or cloud-synced cities), we will update this policy before those features ship.
